Calabacitas

I had a huge lunch.  HUGE!!!!

It was Calabacitas.

For those of you that don’t know.  Calabacitas is a vegetable dish that has (this is subject to variation) corn, squash, green chili (New Mexico green chili no less) onions, garlic and salt to taste.  It’s fantastic.  I can’t get enough.  Although I do have to go easy on the corn.

If you ever get a chance, try it.  You’ll love it.

See I Told You It Exists

That will be the last thing I say as Bigfoot drags me out my bedroom window.

I got home Friday night after work and gave my loving mother a gentle kiss on the cheek.  As I bent down I noticed she had a certain gleam in her eye.

I knew something was up.

Loving Mother:  “Sam?”

Suspicious Me:  “Hmm?”  Here it comes.

Loving Mother: “You need to watch channel 13 news Monday night.”

Suspicious Me:  “¿Por qué Mama?” (actually I said something a little less respectful but she laughed)

Loving (evil) Mother:  “They’re having a special news story just for you!”  (she says cheerfully)  Evil, evil woman.

Less Suspicious Me:  “Oh really?  What’s it about?”

Evil woman that gave birth to me:  “Bigfoot in New Mexico”

“WHAT?????????”

Just in case anyone doesn’t know yet.  I have a Bigfoot phobia.  Loooong story.

Aaaanyway.

Merrill luck being what it is the story was about Farmington.  My area.  San Juan County. There was a sighting less than a month ago near a cave that is less than three miles from my house.

Stupid me.  I missed the story during the regular broadcast so I recorded it for the 1am rebroadcast.   And.  I was awake.  So what did I do?  I watched it of course.

I spent the rest of the night staring at my window waiting for it to come through the window and eat my tender flesh.   I’m sooooo tired.

Here’s the link to the story.  It’s in the video list on the bottom.

I hate my life.

About the job situation?  I can’t talk about it.  It’s proprietary information.   It’s bad.   But not as bad as I was expecting.

Thank you all  for the support and well wishing.  It sure got me through the night.

I DIDN’T BINGE!!!

I’m so proud of myself.  :D
